At my school this year I've been making short videos called "Tech Tidbits". In these videos, I give students and teachers little tech tips they can implement.
I usually get my ideas for the videos when I visit a classroom and I hear a kid say something like, "I don't have internet at home, so I can't do my homework." Au contraire! Did you know you can access your Google drive offline?!
Remember, even though students may have a smartphone doesn't mean they know how to use the internet. As educators, we must teach them how to use the internet responsibly and efficiently. Showing videos for common tasks is a great way to achieve this because students can always go back to view them if they have questions or need a re-fresher.
Feel free to use the videos I've made in your classroom to teach your students or just to get some ideas. Ideally, students would generate a list of tech tips and make their own videos to share with the school!
Please leave a comment sharing how you teach your students how to use technology!
